Sampson’s Patchouli is a pure single-botanical essential oil from Pogostemon cablin, steam-distilled from the dried leaves. One of the few essential oils that genuinely improves with age — a well-stored bottle at 5 years smells deeper and rounder than a fresh one.
Traditionally used as a base-note anchor in perfumery, in meditation diffusion, and as a grounding counterpoint to citrus or floral blends. Pairs cleanly with bergamot for a classic citrus-base perfumery accord and with geranium for a softer floral-earth blend.

How to Use

Diffuse
Add 3–5 drops to an ultrasonic diffuser per 100 ml of water. Run for 30–60 minutes, then pause — continuous diffusion isn’t more effective and can desensitize the nose.

Dilute for Skin Use
Adults: dilute to 1–3% in a carrier oil (jojoba, sweet almond, fractionated coconut) — 6–18 drops per 30 ml of carrier. For kids, elderly, pregnancy, or sensitive skin: 0.5–1% (3–6 drops per 30 ml). Always patch-test first.

Store Cool & Dark
Keep the bottle sealed in a drawer or cupboard away from heat. Most steam-distilled oils last 1–3 years unopened, around 2 years once opened.
