Try them in Irish soda bread, apple and peach crisps and crumbles, granola, muffins, and cookies—especially quick, easy no-bake cookies. You can also add them to meatballs, meatloaf, or stuffed peppers as an inexpensive and nutritious way to “stretch” the meat a bit. And don’t limit yourself to cooking or baking, either—you can even put them in face scrubs or spa masks!

Directions
r Bring 2 cups water and ¼ tsp. salt to boil. Add 1 cup oats. Cover and simmer for about 15 min or until desired texture is achieved, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat, cover, and let stand before serving. Serves 2.
