r The Ayate cloth is a hand made natural cloth made from the fibers of the Maguey plant. The Maguey, often called the “Arbol de las Marvillas” (tree of wonders), is a desert plant found in the arid and semi-arid states of Mexico.

r The Ayate Cloth is hand-woven by the indigenous Indians of these regions. The ladies of the local co-operatives meticulously hand weave each strand of the plant to create a cloth that can be used anywhere on the body. These Ayate Cloths gently remove unwanted dead skin cells, leaving your skin refreshed and smooth.

Directions

- r To use: Before using for first time, soak Ayate in water overnight so fibers absorb water and soften properly.
- r In shower or bath, place cleansing bar in Ayate and wrap Ayate around bar. Wet bar and Ayate and apply to skin in circular motion to wash body. Ayate can also be used as an exfoliating cloth.
- r Resilient cloth is machine washable.
