r Modesto Milling’s new PLUS feed is specifically formulated for the horse that needs more calories than our Supplement Pellets provide alone. PLUS is a balanced feed that, when fed within the recommended feeding rates, removes guess work as to whether the horse is getting all the required nutrients (protein, vitamins and minerals) and calories for optimal performance. Horse PLUS combines the Horse Supplement Pellets with high-quality organic oats, barley, peas, sunflower seeds, and alfalfa pellets, and works as a great augmentation to alfalfa or grass forages.

r Modesto Milling was established in 1974 as a Dairymen’s Cooperative. In 1997, they started manufacturing organic dairy grain mixes. By January 1998, Modesto Milling gained its organic certification from Oregon Tilth and officially became the first organic grain processor in Central California. Modesto Milling processed conventional and organic feed until August of 2007, when the Board of Directors voted to convert the mill’s manufacturing to 100% organic feed.

Directions

r Use: Formulated specifically for horses that need a full feed to supply adequate calories. This feed is appropriate for all types of performance horses when fed within the recommended feeding rate.

r Feeding directions: Feed 0.4-1.0 lbs per 100 lbs. body weight per day with forage. Adjust the amount to maintain a proper body weight for the type of performance the horse is doing. Do not feed more than 5.0 lbs at a single feeding to not overwhelm the digestive tract. It is recommended to feed at least 1.5% of the horse’s body weight in forage. Provide fresh, clean water at all times. Free choice salt is also recommended.
